2024-023 Green Infrastructure Improvements at Mobile Downtown Airport #17309

Sealed bids will be received by the Mobile Airport Authority at the office of the Mobile Airport Authority, 1891 Ninth St., Mobile, AL 36615, until 2:00 pm (Local Time), January 16, 2024, for the furnishing of all labor and materials and performing all work for constructing the following contract:

At the specified time, all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud and later evaluated for responsiveness. The bid opening will be held at the office of Mobile Airport Authority located at 1891 Ninth St., Mobile, AL 36615.

A pre-bid meeting will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 11:00 am (local time) at the office of Mobile Airport Authority, 1891 Ninth St., Mobile, AL 36615, for the purpose of briefing prospective bidders about this project. All prospective bidders and subcontractors are urged to attend.

A Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal of 15% has been established for this project.

The work includes constructing approximately 160 linear feet of a regenerative step pool conveyance system along the edge of airport property near the east side of Perimeter Road.

All prospective bidders MUST register and obtain Plans and Specifications online at https://www.maabids.com/. Any updates and addenda will be placed on this site. Bidders are urged to check the site periodically for updates. Bids must be submitted on the forms included within the contract documents and specifications. Bids shall include all pages included in Division I – Bid Documents. All bid packages should include three (3) complete sets of the bid documents. Submission of the entire contract book is not required.

Bid Documents will be available beginning December 6, 2024, and can be obtained free of charge from https://www.maabids.com/jobs/rfq.

Contract bond will be required as follows: 100% of the contract price.

Labor and Materials Bond will be required as follows: 100% of the contract price.

No bids will be considered unless the bidder, whether resident or non-resident of Alabama, is properly qualified with the State of Alabama. In addition, non-residents of the State, if a corporation, shall show evidence of having qualified with the Secretary of State to do business in Alabama.

The Mobile Airport Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities in the bidding.
